The Empi Infinity Plus is a state-of-the-art, multiple waveform electrotherapy device. It has the ability to provide 4 channels of conventional Interferential, Premodulated Interferential, NMES and High Volt. This wide-ranging capability allows the clinician to apply the most appropriate electrotherapy to a wide variety of patients. Furthermore, programmability of the device allows for customization and storage of programs by patient name, assuring continuity of care. The Infinity Plus Interferential current can be used for the following indications:

Q: How should I take care of my electrodes?

A: Electrode life varies due to skin condition and preparation, storage, climate and electrode care. After each use, clean electrode by moistening fingertip with water and rubbing electrode for five seconds. Air-dry for ten seconds. Return electrode to the liner and seal in the zip-lock container. Replace electrodes that do not stick or cause discomfort.

Q: What is included in the Infinity Plus kit?

A: In addition to your Infinity Plus device, you will receive lead wires and electrodes. Each Infinity Plus kit contains an operator’s manual, rental sales agreement, HIPPA privacy statement and return bag.

Q: Does the device come with batteries?

A: The Infinity Plus comes with a self contained battery pack. This allows you to use the device while it is plugged into a wall outlet or via the battery (portable). The battery pack will charge when the device is plugged in and turned off. You will not need to purchase additional batteries.

Q: Does my insurance cover this device?

A: Most insurance companies cover Empi devices. Empi’s professional billing department will process your claim.

Q: How long will I have to use my Infinity Plus device?

A: Depending on the nature and severity of your pain, you may need only minimal use of this device, or you may need long term use. Many patients find that their condition improves and they only use their device on an occasional basis. The Infinity Plus device is non-addictive and there are no known side effects other than minor skin irritation in some patients.

Q: Are there contraindications for using the Infinity Plus?

A: Demand type implanted pacemaker or defibrillator: Any transcerebral electrode placement or placement near the heart; Any electrode placement that applies current to the carotid sinus region; Undiagnosed pain syndrome; Safety of NMES and TENS during pregnancy has not been established; Only use as prescribed by your physician; Refer to users manual for all contraindications, warnings and precautions.
